David Hicks was a noted English interior designer in the 1960s and '70s. Known for his use of bright color and combination of traditional and modern design, Hicks cultivated a wealthy clientele around the world. This pattern was inspired by one of Hicks' textile designs from the 1960s, its open twist motif reminiscent of Chinese fretwork.
This belt/bag strap canvas is in shades of blue and green on a navy ground. Hand painted on 100% cotton Zweigart mono deluxe canvas.
